Well, my girlfriend did the service of making a list of all the things we did on my vacation down there from the 17th until... well... yesterday. I miss that place already. Its funny how you can be 300+ miles away and it feels more like home there than here. Amazing, really, what love can do. I loved the beach, even if part of the way there my stomach felt like it was made of concrete (i didnt feel that well). I stayed at Diana's mom's friends house, which was nice and comfortable. So now I am home and getting back into the daily grind. Worked at the p-fal today, which was pretty much not fun. I put away gadgets most of the day and then thought about buying a really nice set of flatware for my figurative "hopechest". Patte said they might go even cheaper soon though, so I'll wait to see what happens. Meanwhile, Mom is still in a lot of pain and my bedroom was infested with these little flying ants when I got home. It was a little less than a pleasant first night home. As far as good news goes, my neighbor paid me for mowing her lawn and I might have another computer job coming up soon... so some more side money will be nice to have.

Oh yeah, and did I mention that I cant wait for school to start again? I'm probably going to regret this posting when tests and papers overwhelm me but I miss my friends and my lady friend. Heres to an exciting new year in the apartments!

Also, I have compiled a pretty-much complete birthday list consisting of geeky things and more!

You Belong in 1983

Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

So today at work I've gotten to do the oh-so-fun task of building a parade float! It really is sorta fun, and the theme is "June Weddings". Don't be too scared though, I mostly just bolted/stapled/zip tied stuff onto a big flatbed trailer, although it seems that the nursing home administrator liked my creativity (where I used it) in some parts of the float's design. Oh, and guess what is even funnier... now they want me to be the priest! Gahh. At least this time I will legitimately be in a parade... unlike last July when I accidentally drove in one. Thats another story though.

Now lets hope we dont get those really bad storms like we're supposed to and have them tear apart the wonderfully designed float we've created... I had a weird dream last night that there was a tornado.

Hey you, yeah you... Dial-up. The year 1999 called and they want their internet back.

Yay, cable internet for the summer! (Even if they did come at 8AM on the first day I've had all week to sleep in...)

So I've finished another year of college. Yay... now its summer and I have to work.

For those of you who dont know (since I know how many friends I have out there) I am working at Trinity Living Center this summer to get some credits toward college... hopefully 4. The job is okay I guess, I mean it definitely has its ups and downs as with any job. I just hate that I'm not getting paid at all to do work. My other job (Pfaltzgraff again) will be my one source of income. Oh well. Yesterday was maybe just a bad day. I got my grades yesterday too and I got almost all C's. In case you couldnt guess, getting a C usually stands for "Cant get a job after college". My only A was in Video Production, which makes me happy, but it just couldnt counterbalance my whopping 2.5 GPA which is still... well... 2.5.

On a brighter and lighter note, after being hit with all of that, Diana called. All I can say is that it was one of those conversations that didn't work out as planned (though its not like a bad thing). She was excited about her grades and wanted to tell me and instead I ended up venting about my day. She really helped just by listening though. I guess all I wanted was someone to talk to who would listen and tell me that things aren't so bad. I love that girl.

Anyways, I should get going.

Wow, has it really been less than a week since my last post?? :)

My ultimate plan in creating a new blog seems to be failing miserably. Mainly because I haven't felt like putting the time into it that I should. Honestly, blogging really is not my thing so much, at least not right now. So much has happened this semester... and now its over and I'm done. I'll be working at pfaltzgraff roughly 30hrs/week starting next Monday and then another 20 hrs/week at the nursing home. Yay! I get to work 50 hours a week just like the rest of the world. I actually am already looking forward to a vacation down to see Diana if possible.

I'm going to really try to get this blog off the ground this summer if possible. Some of it will probably be boring to some of you, but maybe its a good idea to have an alternate venting/talking place. I'll be doing a lot of mini-projects over the summer. Maybe this will give me a place to put some of that.

Still havent told Diana about this blog yet either... in fact nobody knows about it and so nobody reads it. I kinda like that for now, but once its all set up and significant enough to be somewhat interesting, I'll let people know about it.

Oh, and did I mention...

I'm A SENIOR NOW!!!
FINALS DONE!!!
WOOT!!!

So I've actually decided that livejournal looks... well... more lively than xanga and more fun. My second reason for joining this is because I want to surprise Diana, and maybe become LJ friends with her friends? Who knows.

Maybe this website will motivate me to even post more often!

...but somehow (knowing me) I doubt it.
